Wrong track

Latest reports on progress made by Network Rail make grim reading, with £38.5 billion of projects it is directly responsible for suffering from either spiralling costs and or missed targets.

Network Rail is never far from the headlines for failing to achieve and perhaps the time is right to consider alternatives in providing this vital service crucial to getting people out of their cars and back into the trains as part of a national transport strategy.
