Wrong formula

You don’t need to be a scientist to work out how Scottish children are being disadvantaged with 25 per cent fewer funds available for science work in schools than for kids south of the Border.

This is yet another example of the falling standards in Scottish education, once regarded as the best in Europe but now trailing behind many other countries and well down in the performance tables.

Our Scottish children deserve better and it is now time to review the funding of Scottish schools as the current system is clearly not fit for purpose.
