Wind window

Your article (4 February) concerning the increased amount of electricity generated by wind turbines in 2014 should carry a “health warning”.

As everyone should know, wind power generation cannot be guaranteed to be turned on when it is most needed, which would be normally during day-time. It is quite possible most of the electricity referred to in the article was generated during the night, when it is in least demand and therefore superfluous to
requirements.
