Wind pressure

I very much welcome the letter from Peter E Smith (3 September) in which he suggests that the SNP should admit that it had got it wrong on onshore wind developments.

It is not just a matter of “unwanted industrialisation in our glens and hillsides”, central though that pivotal concern is, but exasperation at the allegedly social democratic SNP’s enthusiastic support for a subsidy regime which diverts huge sums of money into the coffers of multinational companies, not to mention landowners.
