Wind farm fiasco

I wish Douglas Brodie well in his fight to save Dava Moor from wind farm development (Letters, 28 February). I hope he does not experience what we did in Midlothian.

Last year there were 1,080 objections to the Mount Lothian wind farm near Edinburgh, with only 67 in support.

The application was withdrawn the afternoon before Penicuik Environment Protection Association was to give a presentation to councillors.

The application has been re-submitted and although the developer has not had to pay a new fee, all the objections are invalid. I do hope those who objected last time will object again.

In what used to be Bonnie Scotland, wind farm developers do seem to get more than a fair wind.
