Widspread crimes

The arrest warrant against Sudanese president Omar al-Bashir is neither fair-minded or impartial.

Several Western leaders are equally culpable of complicity in crimes against humanity, and for flagrantly flouting fundamental human rights tenets.

By the same token, since its very inception in 1948, Israel has continually expanded its Jewish acquisition of the Holy land, transgressed international boundaries and UN resolutions, constructed an illegal separation wall, and slaughtered innocent civilians; all with impunity based on a false biblical dictum that God has given this land to the Jewish people and on Golda Meir’s assumption that “this land is without people for people without a land”.

And despite that, Israeli leaders are still welcomed and applauded in major Western capitals and decision-making institutions.

The International Criminal Court in the Hague will remain devoid of equity, justice and even-handedness unless it applies its rules equitably on all, or risk being ignored by all.
