Where to draw the line on countries?

ACCORDING to your correspondent John Dalzell (Debate, 25 September): “Let...the Gibraltarians remain British but the land should be returned to Spain. The Falklands should be returned to Argentina, Northern Ireland should be returned to Ireland.” Why stop there? Let the English remain German, but let Berwick be returned to Scotland and the rest of England to Wales.
