Welcome help
On INTERNATIONAL Women’s Day, Nicola Sturgeon’s announcement of government funds to help raise awareness of the curse of female genital mutilation (FGM) in Scotland was welcome. For much too long the fear of being accussed of being racist or Islamophobic, both within the Police and CPS, has prevented them investigating and prosecuting doctors who perform FGM not only in Scotland, but throughout Britain.
