Weather guesses

The answer to Clark Cross’s enquiry (Letters, 27 November) into why the weather predictions made in recent years by the Met Office are so horrendously wrong, is quite simple: it continues to believe that the level of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is the main driving force in climate change, and these concentration levels are fed into the Met Office’s very expensive computer as one of the main parameters.

As most people know, feeding rubbish into a computer results in rubbish coming out. They don’t appear to realise that their erroneous predictions largely destroys the above belief.
