Voting for laughs

THE Scotsman’s sister paper (“Revealed: Republican plot to ditch the Queen”, Scotland on Sunday, 22 June) set my heart dancing.

Unfortunately such a plot won’t play well with the aged and middle-aged middle-class voters who do most of the voting, so is another bad day at the office for the separatists, whose case looks like a punch-drunk boxer who knows all the time he can stay on his feet he still has a chance of winning on points.

The knock-out blow – from either side – is yet to come. Time for me to come out – I’m going to vote “Yes” because the Nationalists are the more amusing.
