Voting disgrace

The First Minister incessantly informs us that “the Scottish people will decide” the outcome of any independence referendum.

Is it not time the SNP defined, precisely, what criteria people must have to be “Scottish” and so qualify to “decide” on Scotland’s future? That born and bred Scots whose work or families have taken them abroad cannot vote is regrettable, that those Scots residing in other parts of the UK – who have lived, worked and may return to Scotland – find themselves disenfranchised, is a disgrace.

It appears the SNP considers someone born in London of a Scottish father and German mother, educated in Edinburgh then Aberdeen, who subsequently worked in Europe as a journalist before taking up a job in London for the past decade, not Scottish enough to be allowed a vote in the referendum. Has anyone told campaign chief Angus Robertson he won’t be voting?
