Untrustworthy

How can we believe anything of a Westminster government offering us last-gasp reform in the shape of more but unspecified devolution?

The Westminster parliament has consistently refused to reform itself, leaving Scottish taxpayers to support twice the number of MPs we actually need and governments in power we have not actually voted for. The only country in the world now with a larger parliament is the People’s Republic of China, with over 20 times the UK population. Unlike the UK, 70 per cent of the Chinese state budget is devolved to the regions from Beijing, compared to the paltry 20 per cent currently devolved from London to Scotland.

With the Westminster track record of years of worthless assurances reflecting their resistance to reform and to true devolution, the only way Scotland can be guaranteed to achieve a more equitable settlement is to vote for independence.
