Union flag blues

If Scotland votes for independence, the St Andrew’s flag of white cross on blue background will remain as Scotland’s flag, yes?

But what of the Union flag? Will it become a white flag with the red crosses of St George and St Patrick?

It would impinge on the flags of Australia, New Zealand, Falklands, changing not only their state and civil flags but also those of their navies and air ­forces, as well as those of the British armed forces.
