Union blinkered

WHILE some commentators referred to the Independent Budget Review Group as the three wise men, it seems the response from Unison has been written by the three wise monkeys: they can't see budget cuts, can't hear budget cuts and can't talk about budget cuts.

This seems strange since Unison poured millions of pounds of its members' money into the Labour Party, which effectively bankrupted the UK.

It is also strange that Unison seem uniquely unaware that the Scottish Government relies on the block grant from Westminster to pay for all its services (and the funding it gives to councils and health boards).

So if the Westminster Government continues to slash the block grant (Labour raided 500 million from it in this financial year) then how does Unison expect the Scottish Government to replace that loss?
