Unfair wind rules

I heartily endorse Clark Cross’s call for a moratorium on wind farms (Letters, 22 September). It would be wonderful to be put out of the misery of nine years fighting to preserve the setting of the Pentland Hills 
Regional Park.

Penicuik Environment Protection Association is fighting the third wind farm application within three miles of each other.

This time the developer has gone for non-determination even though a date had been set for determination.

It cannot be right that local democracy is continually being overruled.

I wish those who have now become interested in politics would realise the damage done by a party that broke its election pledge on wind farms in 2007.
