Ukip feels EU ire
It will be interesting to see how Ukip responds to warnings from outgoing European Commission president, José Manuel Barroso, that exiting the EU would be bad for British jobs, trade, investment, influence, security and standing.
Presumably the party can just take a page from the Yes Scotland playbook and casually dismiss all such warnings as “scaremongering”.
And Mr Cameron needn’t think he can resolve things by negotiating the devolution of some powers from Strasbourg and Brussels.
