Trying tale of the new Bruce centre

WITH reference to your article "Bruce enthusiasts plan heritage centre for 'neglected' king" (News, 31 January), may I inform you there is already one with an official opening next month. The Renton train station near Dumbarton was handed over to the Strathleven Artizans (historical group) who turned it into a Bruce Heritage Centre. We visit local schools in surcoats and chain-mail to let local children know of their heritage and about medieval life. Our patron is Lord Elgin (Bruce), a living relative of King Robert the Bruce.
