Try, try again?

Was Saturday’s Six Nations debacle at Murrayfield a metaphor for independence?

There was much kilt-wearing nationalistic fervour before the event, an embarrassing reliance on hope over expectation, utter domination by an efficient England and no thought of a plan B?

Or am I putting Scotland down, the accusation levelled at any Scot who dares to suggest that life is not a utopian ideal north of the Border?
