Trump’s dummy

Having spent the weekend meandering through the hills of Callander and bemoaning the fact that wind farms detract from the natural beauty of Scotland, I feel I must reply to Clark Cross’s response to my criticism of him (Letters, 2 March).

Firstly, I know nothing about wind farms, apart from the fact they are indeed a blot on the landscape.

Neither do I have any knowledge of golf, except that it is only an excuse for a long walk. However, I am capable of identifying when someone from a foreign country is trying to interfere with the politics of the Scottish nation for his own means.

Donald Trump spits out his dummy every time he does not get his own way and threatens to cancel his golf course production every time someone challenges him.

Despite this, Clark Cross and others have already been consumed by the Trump propaganda machine if they really believe that he cares about wind farms in Scotland.

If Trump was really concerned about wind farms why is he not attacking them in the USA, especially in places like California where there is an over-abundance of them? Because they have no monetary value to him.

Once Trump gets his way he will lose interest in the campaign’s wider issues in Scotland.
