Trumped up

I was pleased to read Lesley Riddoch’s article (Perspective, 23 April) listing 11 ways in which Donald Trump has been wrong.

However, she missed what is perhaps the most important one of all: ravaging a site of special scientific interest to create a second-rate golf course which no-one seems to want is wrong.

And then he has the effrontery to claim that he is a champion of the environment – wrong again. It’s difficult to see what on earth has possessed the Scottish Parliament in giving him the opportunity to express his views.

You report Oor Donal’ stating that he doesn’t want The Best Golf Course in the World “tarnished by this industrial junk that doesn’t even work looming over it”.

I have encountered several premature systems’ failures in my engineering career, but the failure of these turbines off Aberdeen must be the earliest ever recorded.
