Trouble Bru-ing

No DOUBT our friends at Holyrood breathed a deep sigh of relief when the European Union commissioners decided to allow us – for the time being – to continue to make the chemical soup we call Irn-Bru to the current recipe (your report, 10 September).

As a newly-independent nation knocking on Europe’s door we may not be as lucky next time, so it’s time to lay in a cellar of the damned stuff – purely for investment purposes, of course.
