Torn off a strip

Does the Scottish Football
Association have an in-house competition from time to time to design the silliest strip? Red and white (England’s colours surely) with yellow bands on Wednesday?

Clearly the SFA will go to any lengths to avoid using the
glorious azure and white of the Saltire. A cynic might suspect that there is a unionist agenda at work, made more offensive by meekly accepting England’s appropriation of our blue and white for many years.

A comic strip may be a
factor in some unfunny results in recent years, but it is time the SFA and SRU (which has tried to use the proper colours in the away strip recently) understood that they are not entitled to muck about with our national colours.
