Too comfortable?

When Joyce McMillan is not condemning those who voted against independence last September as “an alliance of the fearful, the cautious and the comfortable” she talks eminent good sense (“In the twilight of social democracy”, Perspective, 24 July).

I have nothing to add other than to recommend that all those interested in the role of the market fundamentalists in creating the pass our democracy is now in should read The Establishment and How They Get Away With It by Owen Jones.
