Tied to the mast

IT is easy to get a massive Wendy house in your back garden. The character and appearance will not blight the surrounding view, it will be of no detriment to health. The council will not even have to see the structure - they will pass the plans and even ignore those who sign petitions.

Its massive chimney will be over 30 metres high and it will have six antennae. What a brilliant idea. No need for councillors to see or approve such a lovely big Wendy house - only it’s a mobile phone mast!

The only thing it will have in common with Brian Miller’s is the fact that all the children and adults will be put through heartache and worry.

What happens when one gets voted onto council, or is given the responsibility to make sensible decisions for the people? Does common sense leave the brain? How easy it is to become like those who approved of the Emperor’s new clothes?
