Tax avarice

David Cameron claims that the "poorest are getting poorer".

The poverty index is relative. The poor are not getting poorer. It is the richer who are getting richer, and obscenely so.

This is something Labour should be worried about. But the Tories should also be concerned. Their talk is all of cuts, none of taxation.

What is needed is a progressive taxation system, not one that taxes low and middle incomes, but one that strikes at the heart of the avarice in our national economy.
