Taking the biscuit

How on Earth can the BBC use the Hallelujah Chorus in its trailer for the Great British Bake-Off (and during the Edinburgh festivals and London Proms seasons too)?

While we are sadly used to its prostituting great music such as Mozart’s Requiem as inappropriate “background” music in documentaries, this must really “take the biscuit”.
