Syrian concerns

As IF more than 90,000 dead in Syria to date wasn’t bad enough, the United States – in deciding to arm the rebel forces (your reports) – is to raise the stakes even higher in this deadly game of political poker where many more innocents will perish as the civil war will escalate with increased firepower.

It seems that the US will not learn from the past, that in arming the rebels it will also be arming many terrorist groups that may ultimately seek to attack America and its allies with the very arms they will supply.

With the disastrous results in Iraq and Afghanistan, US president Barack Obama has no stomach or political remit for further troop involvement. However, the US will try to manipulate the civil war in Syria from the comfort of Washington, thereby hoping to avoid any direct involvement.
