I wonder whether things would be any different in an independent or quasi-independent Scotland. The evidence does not suggest they would be.
For instance, the Scottish Government’s energy strategy is designed to maximise corporate income from onshore wind subsidies even if there is no evidence from objective sources that current policies are founded on the most cost-effective strategy for reducing CO2 emissions, creating local jobs and promoting inward investment.
