Super schooled

THE Scotsman published a front-page photograph of First Minister Nicola Sturgeon (your report, 24 July) opening a new running track in Glasgow, at the same time Cumnock is losing Broomfield Park which at the moment accommodates hockey pitches, football pitches, rugby pitches, running track and a pavilion, to be replaced by a Super School.

Despite widespread disquiet in the community, the Scottish Government has given the local authority the green light to go ahead with the building of the Super School.

Reminds you of the western films shown in cinemas in the 1950s when the Native Americans blamed the cavalry of speaking with forked tongues.
