Super-sceptic deserves praise

I CONGRATULATE Gerald Warner for his blistering exposé of the global warming alarmist cult led by Al Gore (Insight, 12 January). Sure it was short on facts and long on bombastic proclamations, but science shouldn’t be about facts and peer review, it’s about who can shout the loudest.

Global warming is a myth brought to us by people who were sad to see the demise of the Soviet Union. They want to seize Scotland’s hunting estates and cover them in wind farms.

There is clearly a consensus amongst big oil companies, Russian oligarchs and the Middle East sheikhdoms that global warming is a myth. For too long global warming alarmists have tried to silence the voices of dissent.

In Gerald Warner I think we on the sceptical side have found the equal of other great sceptics such as Lord Christopher Monckton and Sarah Palin.

After Mr Warner wins a Nobel prize for debunking climatology he should turn his considerable intellect to challenging other myths such as the official 9/11 story, the Moon landing hoax or the preposterous lie that Elvis is dead.
