Sunny outlook

Last week my family and I drove off for a week in my native Highlands. Before we set off we searched the internet and TV channels for a weather forecast and things were looking a bit glum: they all forecast great weather in England but rotten stuff in Scotland.

What a lot of rubbish.

The sun shone brilliantly, we saw views across to Morayshire and subsequently to the Orkneys and, on another day out, towards Skye.

The stags were at the roadside, lambs were playing games and the burns, rivers and lochs were all glistening in the sunshine.

Where on this earth were the forecasters living?
