Street clutter

The increase in so-called “street furniture” ie self-standing advertising hoardings etc on pavements – which has been in the news recently makes it difficult for blind and partially sighted people to make their way safely along our city streets.

But this is nothing compared with the clutter on our pavements after the fortnightly bin collection.

There are four separate receptacles collected at different times and left strewn down the pavement. This is unpleasant for the able bodied and hazardous for the blind and partially sighted.
