Stirling up debate

Regarding the recent debate about the language, with the fall of Edinburgh in 638AD, the English had reached the Firth of Forth. This led to the entry in the De Situ Albanie of 1185, about the river close to the town of Strivelin.

It was called "Froch" by the Scots, "Werid", by the Britons and "Scottiswattre", by the English. We are lucky that English, the international language, prevailed.
