Space for thought

I completely agree with Mary Braid (Letters, 27 March) regarding dropping the item “This Morning” from your Family ­Announcements page.

At first I thought it was because of lack of space – “folk deein’ noo as never dee’d afore” as 
the old Scots saying has it – but on Wednesday, for instance, there are two separate notices on how to place announcements on the page, so plenty of room for that.

Surely you can find space to restore these very short Bible texts and commentaries which have indeed given courage and comfort to many of your readers.
