Sorry explanation

Alex Salmond refuses to apologise over his remarks praising Putin. Alex Salmond refused to apologise over the premature release of the Lockerbie bomber despite protests from American relatives. And Mr Salmond refused to apologise over the promotion of Bill Walker as an SNP MSP despite the SNP being forewarned of his propensity. Alex Salmond does not “do apologies”.

When I studied for my psychology degree I came across the concept of “Correction” which states that if a person corrects a mistake, they are less likely to repeat that mistake.

Just as in medicine, banking, law and most all professions, we gain when the practitioner admits to their mistakes, and then hopefully corrects those mistakes and subsequently learns from them.
