Socialist ills

In response to your front page ("Back to the 80s", 15 May), the economic hardship of the Eighties was the result of a spendthrift socialist government of the Seventies, and the hardships ahead in the 2010s will be the result of another economic disaster of a socialist government between 1997 and 2010.

Why do you persist in blaming the people who have to clear up after each Labour government, and why don't you acknowledge that there has never been an economically successful socialist government? The electorate are to blame. Nobody else.
