SNP slavishness

Strict adherence to the party line is now seemingly standard in the SNP.

Your report (14 May), outlining remarks by non-SNP members of the public audit committee on the “obedience and slavishness’’ to the party line of the SNP representatives, is startling but perhaps not surprising. More evidence of this slavish adherence is evident daily in the letters to your newspaper from nationalist correspondents.

Discipline is fine. But when this leads to what is best for the country being sacrificed on the altar of what is best for the SNP, alarm bells should start ringing.

It does, however, give us a glimpse of what life may be
like in an SNP-run, separated Scotland.
