SNP goes global

What planet is Kathleen Fraser living on (Letters, 5 May)? The Scottish National Party welcomes members from many countries outside Scotland.

At the party's final rally in Edinburgh on Wednesday, I met my first Tahitian, a member of my own branch, and I know many English, French and other members of the SNP.

What would Mrs Fraser answer to the English lady canvassed by me who, asked why she intended to vote SNP, replied: "I live here now and I want to see the country well run"?
