SNP costs danger

In just seven years the SNP administration have increased spending to more than £6 billion on the costs of Scottish government – a 50 per cent increase as the cabinet, civil service and special advisors’ teams and associated costs have all been expanded.

Our First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has made an expensive start with the newly appointed Scottish cabinet being the biggest ever and all the expenses, cars and costs that go with it.

With the new tax powers being devolved to Holyrood there is a danger that the increasing cost of government will eat into any advantage gained, preventing any filtering down to the people who really need help in Scotland.
