Shame of waste

How shocking is the news that Tesco wastes food? Developed countries such as our own are the gold medallists at wasting and this is nothing new to develop in our society.

Tesco is definitely not the first, nor the only, huge company to throw away scandalous amounts of food with no repercussion to its profits.

I’m not saying that we should accept Tesco’s actions as normal, but it seems ridiculous to focus so intently on this one scandal while there are thousands of companies doing the exact same thing.

We have begun to lose sight of food as a basic necessity of life, along with water and shelter, and it has instead become a business motivating the survival of large bank accounts rather than human life.
