Serve our cities

Would it be beyond the wit of ScotRail to run trains through the night between Edinburgh and Glasgow? London and Brighton are thus connected.

The current schedule (last trains from Queen Street and Waverley, 11:30pm) militates against fruitful intercity communication.

Our fine and highly creative community of roaring boys and wild women, who might stay in one city but decide that evening to discourse in the other, should surely not have their conferences disrupted by the awful choice – do I miss this chance or do
I stay up all night?

The train line, ordinarily such a helpful and fantastically efficient contributor to the fertility of the nation, turns at midnight into a chastity belt.
