Surely the answer to Scotland’s poor performance on the international rugby field is to admit we are “better together”; stop fielding a Scottish international side and instead have a GB team in which a Scot or two might appear from time to time.

We in Scotland could then bask in the warm glow of British success, as with the Olympics?
