Scotland's disgrace

The Lord Chancellor has said that the transfer or release from jail of Abdelbaset Ali Mohamed al-Megrahi is a matter for the Scottish Government (your report, 14 February).

Mr Megrahi is no more guilty of the Lockerbie bombing than First Minister Alex Salmond. This injustice is a disgrace to the Scottish legal system, and if the Scottish Government had any decency, Mr Megrahi would be walking free this very second.
