Scotland may get Tory government

A RECENT General Election poll (News, 25 May) in marginal constituencies projects a slight Labour win. Nonetheless, a Conservative win remains entirely possible.

Lord Ashcroft commissioned a poll of Ukip’s European election voters.

Two-thirds of their voters prefer David Cameron as Prime Minister to Nick Clegg or Ed Miliband. As the General Election draws closer, the first- past-the-post voting system makes tactical voting or a Conservative-Ukip pact increasingly likely.

Once again Scotland may vote against, yet receive, a Tory government.
