Rubbish advice

I WAS amazed to read (your report, 25 May) that Liberal Democrat councillor Donald Macgregor appears to be telling members of the public in St Andrews that if access roads are considered unsuitable due to the quality of the surface, number of potholes etc, then residents will have to take their bins to the end of the road for collection.

Surely the publicly-elected councillor should be telling Fife Council to repair the roads to a satisfactory state?
