Royal titles

You ran an article with the headline: “The tiny badge that proves the King of Scotland was on the battlefield” (10 April). I find this hard to believe as I was taught that there has never been a King (or Queen) of Scotland. They were all Kings or Queens of the people ie King/Queen of Scots, the best quoted example being Mary Queen of Scots.
