Rod ruined

I AM one of the unlucky people who, having spent £70 to see the Rod Stewart concert, ended up being soaked. Rod did his best and thanks to him for that (your report, 15 July).

It was bad enough putting up with the rain, but the security system was a joke. Thousands of handbags were searched by approximately six security persons in the bottleneck that is Castlehill.

An hour after the concert started I was still being disturbed by people who had probably arrived on time coming in, looking for their seats. So I got fleeting glimpses of the concert. Thank you to whoever decided to do that: you completely ruined a night that was already bad enough.

How come going to a concert in the Castle is a big risk but going to a concert at the Playhouse isn't?

Make up your minds - allow concerts or don't allow concerts, but do not treat the people who pay your wages like this.
