Respect due

Mark Boyle (Letters, 13 June) shows the sort of rant we’ve come to expect from some Yes writers in demonising JK Rowling.

Her book sales suggest that calling her adult works “cringeworthy” will not give him much of a career as a
literary critic.

It is also offensive since it seeks to denigrate the worth of someone who does not agree with him.

The point is that Ms Rowling is entitled, like the rest of us, to have her opinions and to have them respected.

The rants are beginning to grow tiresome and the so-called “Project Fear” from the No camp is increasingly looking like project fact.
