Religious respect

I am a practising Christian, I have a high IQ, an Honours degree and was brought up to respect the person, if not the belief. Does that make me a sap, ignorant and a bigot? I think Malcolm Parkin (Letters, 6 April) should apologise for his own ignorant and bigoted remarks. I do not know if he is a sap.
