Red Road show

The negativity of showing the world the demolition of its useless building stock as a prelude to the Commonwealth Games shows the lack of savvy with which those who run Scotland are afflicted.

They can’t even choose the correct building to destroy.

After several days of writing about the Red Road flats in “Balarnock”, The Scotsman goes one better with “Barlarnock” (“Blow up Red Road flats? Gonnae no dae that”, 7 April).

To borrow a bit of politician-speak, let me be absolutely clear – the Red Road flats are in Balornock, not to be confused with the nearby district of Barlanark.
